Contrary to the title, I didn't get much live recording done.

A few factors played into this, but the most annoying was general acoustics.

While the microphone I use is quite good for most everyday applications, it tends to pick up too much noise, especially if the air conditioning is running.

Almost the entire week was spent trying to find a good recording setup, which I failed to do.

Maybe I'll try recording in the garage with my Tascam mic and laptop next time.

So, I'll put some filler work here, as I want to put something of note in this post.

Here's a 20 second demo, which I made most of previously, but touched up a lot today:

The way this was made I find interesting, as it sometimes includes baking in changes to the samples so it can be used as a standalone, new sample.

For example, this is an almost certainly pointless kick sample, made by splicing 4 different kick samples. The baked result is shown in the 1st track, with the splicing area shown in the 2nd.

I noticed that my recent work is only tangentially related to my current big project thing, so I'll title these posts that way only if I'm making an acceptable contribution to said project.
