[35] L'lasons de Aether ver Beinags #17

I've been trying to make an opener for this for like half an hour, so this sentence is it.

Only two pieces (unique items, anyway) of media to show, this week.

I wanted to focus on modeling, especially the drill, but I couldn't find much reference I liked until later on.

I was able to make at least part of the drill, tediously, and with much effort.

This is the drill head. I like it.

What I don't like however is the fact that it's slightly uneven, as shown in this top-down view:

It's only really noticeable when looking at it at this angle, but you'd definitely see it from any angle when told of it.

I've spent too much time on this thing, so I'll be calling this a feature from now on.

I realized this is far too little to constitute what I'd call a good post, so I made something based off a melody I heard in a dream a couple of days ago:

It's just that progression with a few variations with backing, which I mixed to the best of my current ability.

Sometimes I have no trouble at all in coming up with a melody or harmony, but the real challenge starts when I try to add percussion or otherwise some rhythm to it.

It's hard to get right, especially when you can't imagine a setup where it would sound good enough in the first place.
